CSA Meal 12: Collards...Collard Greens Sushi..it's different, but still delicious. Used cream cheese, smoked salmon, carrots and cucumber. Great with soy sauce!

Fun for the kids! Making home made ice cream! In a small Ziplock bag, put: 1/2 C. half and half (milk works too) 1 Tbps. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Insert that bag into a larger, one gallon Ziplock filled with ice and salt. Shake the bag for five minutes. Kids love that part! Then, remove the smaller bag which should have turned into ice cream.

Lori makes home made sushi. She serves it on platters that she made and fired herself, with chopsticks she hand carves from the branches of trees she planted as a child. She also grows her own rice.

I've modified this Miso Recipe to: 1/4 cup sake, 1/4 cup mirin, 3/4 cup white miso, 3/4 cup sugar - Heat sauce over stove and let cool down. Marinate fish for 2 days for the best flavoring. You can avoid the grill and go straight to the oven, the extra sugar will caramelize the fish.
